I have a problem with my golf mk3 headlights help?

Basically I bought the light kit for my Golf MK3, now the perfect union, but the shortcut in the back is different for my car. I think the lights were in favor, is a newer model or a model GTI. Now I bought the lights have a 4-pin connector long, but the cables in my car accepts the PIN of four, but in a square. I'm thinking I should sell and buy new lights, maybe one for my car or is there a converter allowing me to use the lights in your car? if not let me know where you can buy on the street, give thanks for your time reading and responding to my question
